Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Lead Carpenter to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded professional capable of handling a project from the initial framing to the final finishing touches. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for ensuring that all work meets our high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Core Responsibilities
Framing: Construct, erect, and install building frameworks, including walls, floors, joists, and rafters for both residential and commercial structures.
Siding & Exterior: Install various siding materials (vinyl, wood, fiber cement) with precision to ensure weatherproofing and aesthetic appeal.
Roofing: Perform roofing tasks including the installation of shingles, underlayment, and flashing to ensure structural integrity and leak prevention.
Finishing Work: Execute high-end interior and exterior finish carpentry, including trim, molding, door and window installation, and cabinetry.
Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans to determine project requirements and dimensions.
Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all OSHA regulations and company safety protocols.
Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly with project leads and other trades to meet deadlines and project goals.
Mandatory Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of professional carpentry experience.
Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Framing, Siding, Roofing, and Finishing Work is mandatory.
Equipment: Extensive experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively (saws, drills, levels, pneumatic nailers, etc.).
Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy materials (50+ lbs), climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions.
Preferred Skills & Requirements
OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification (preferred, but training can be provided).
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to various job sites throughout the Capital Region and Adirondacks.
Strong attention to detail and a "do it right the first time" mentality.
Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
