Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Iowa City, Iowa. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: The Labor and Delivery (L&D) specialty position is located at a medical center campus specializing in maternal and neonatal care. The role involves circulating in the operating room as the primary nurse, monitoring vital signs and glucose levels in newborns, and caring for patients during high-risk labor and delivery. This position offers a nights shift schedule with the potential for float coverage and spans from late September 2026 to early January 2027. Job Details: Location: Labor & Delivery Department at a medical center campus. Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Start Date: 09/28/2026 End Date: 01/03/2027 Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); experience in high-risk labor and delivery; proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system; experience circulating in the operating room as a primary nurse; clinical skills in obtaining vital signs and glucose from newborns; experience caring for couplets during labor and post-partum situations; willingness to float to antepartum and postpartum units. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in high-risk labor and delivery, EPIC proficiency. Additional Information: Contracts will go through at least one renewal to include winter holidays in the same contract.
