Ultrasound Sonographer (RDMS)

Role Overview

The Full-Time Breast Sonographer (RDMS) performs ultrasound imaging, including breast, abdominal, small parts, and obstetrical exams, to assist in diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities include ensuring equipment readiness, performing independent studies, documenting procedures, and possibly conducting on-call or portable exams at various sites. The role may involve assisting with needle procedures such as biopsies and drainages, and performing vascular imaging.

Qualifications & Skills

• RDMS or equivalent certification required
• Breast sonography, mammography, and ultrasound experience preferred
• Ability to perform studies independently and manage equipment effectively
• Preferred: 2+ years of experience, CPR certification, RDCS or equivalent

Key Duties

• Conduct ultrasound examinations, document findings, and ensure proper equipment function
• Perform procedures on adult and pediatric patients, including vascular imaging and needle-guided interventions
• Maintain high standards of patient care and safety
