Staff Software Engineer

Staff Software Engineer role at GE HealthCare focused on designing and developing software systems for MRI scanners. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software components for MR scanner systems
- Collaborate with systems engineers, domain experts, and cross-functional teams on solution implementation
- Apply modern software engineering principles including architecture, security, and scalability
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues across distributed software and system environments
- Mentor team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or STEM field
- 12+ years designing and supporting production software applications
- 10+ years with Java/JEE, Spring Boot, and Swagger/Open API
- Strong Unix/Linux development environment experience
- Microservices architecture design and development expertise
- Hardware-software interface development experience
- Git, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipeline proficiency
