Location: Philadelphia, PA (70% remote), looking for a local candidate Duration: 12 Months

Role Overview: We are seeking a strategic, systems-minded Business Architect to help align business capabilities with enterprise strategy, and support transformation across our health insurance portfolio. This role will work closely with IT, Business Operations, and Compliance teams to design and document business processes and capabilities that meet the evolving needs of members, providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create business architecture artifacts (capability maps, value streams, and future-state blueprints).
• Assess current-state processes and capabilities; identify gaps, redundancies, and improvement opportunities across the value chain (member enrollment, claims, billing, provider operations, care management, etc.).
• Drive cross-functional collaboration to define requirements, clarify business rules, and align stakeholders on future-state designs.
• Support program and product teams with architecture input during solution design, prioritization, and roadmap planning.
• Ensure alignment between business, technology, data, and compliance by partnering with SMEs and IT architects.
• Provide traceability from strategy ? capabilities ? processes ? business requirements for major initiatives.
• Help drive change management across enterprise for new solutions.
• Help with prioritizing project features and aligning with business stakeholders on scope and priority.
• Be the owner and keeper of detailed business process documentation for assigned area.

Qualifications:

• 710+ years of experience in business architecture, enterprise analysis, or strategy/operations rolespreferably in health insurance or healthcare.
• Knowledge of health plan functions (member lifecycle, provider ecosystem, claims, utilization management, regulatory requirements, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience creating business architecture artifacts (capability models, value streams, process flows, domain models).
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, facilitate cross-functional discussions, and influence without authority.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
