What You'll Do

As an Environmental Field Technician, you'll work alongside experienced testing professionals performing EPA air emissions testing at industrial facilities across the country.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining sampling equipment, glassware, instruments, and testing hardware
• Calibrating instruments and performing equipment inspections and repairs
• Traveling to client facilities to set up, operate, and dismantle emissions testing equipment
• Collecting accurate field data using EPA reference test methods
• Recording field measurements and maintaining detailed documentation
• Working safely at industrial facilities while following company and client safety procedures
• Collaborating with project managers and field teams to complete successful testing projects

What We're Looking For

We welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds. Previous stack testing experience is desirable but not required .

Preferred qualifications include:

• High school diploma or GED
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical procedures
• Experience in construction, industrial maintenance, manufacturing, environmental services, laboratories, field science, or related trades is a plus
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Certificate and OSHA Respiratory Protection Medical Evaluation
• Ability to pass background checks and pre-employment/random drug screening

Physical Requirements

This is an active field position requiring:

• Frequent overnight travel (up to 75% or more)
• Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
• Climbing ladders and working safely on elevated platforms ranging from approximately 50–300 feet
• Lifting and carrying equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
• Flexibility to occasionally work weekends or extended schedules to meet project requirements

Compensation

$20-$30 per hour , based on experience, qualifications, and performance. Overtime paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate for all hours worked over 40 in a workweek.
