Compensation & Location Work Location: Onsite at the Department of Mineral Resources Office in Bismarck, ND.
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (flexible schedule options available).
Hiring Range: $55,000 - $65,000 annually ($4,583 - $5,417 monthly) Equal Employment Opportunity

As the DMR HR Specialist, you will coordinate recruitment, selection, onboarding, orientation, benefits, position management, job descriptions, HR systems, and compliance duties. You will assist agency team members and managers, with the above HR functions, ensuring processes are completed in an accurate, timely, consistent and service focused manner.
What You'll Do
- You will help keep HR operations running effectively by:
- Supporting recruitment efforts by posting job announcements, corresponding with applicants and preparing interview materials.
- Coordinating reference and background checks, job offers and new team member communications.
- Helping new team members onboard and facilitating new employee orientation.
- Maintaining accurate information in HR systems and supporting updates as needed.
- Maintaining various HR reports and systems such as personnel files, job descriptions, organizational charts, position management and records, ensuring accuracy and retention and compliance requirements are met.
- Serving as one of the primary benefit administrators, providing benefit information to new team members, responding to general benefits questions, coordinating the annual open enrollment process,.
- Helping identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve tools and enhance customer service.

- Experience in administrative support or customer service.
- Comfort working in multiple systems and learning new technology.

- A proactive, curious and adaptable mindset.
