Floor Technician

Spring Haven Senior Living is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and versatile Floor Technician to join our Housekeeping Department.

This is much more than a traditional floor care position. We're looking for someone who enjoys staying active, takes pride in maintaining a beautiful community, and isn't afraid to jump in wherever needed.

From operating commercial floor equipment and maintaining common areas to assisting with resident moves and touch-up painting projects, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and takes ownership of their work.

What You'll Be Doing

Floor Care & Community Appearance

• Operate commercial floor machines throughout the community
• Clean and maintain flooring in common areas
• Perform routine floor care projects as assigned
• Monitor equipment performance and report concerns
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs to floor equipment when able

Trash & Waste Management

• Daily removal of trash from common area trash rooms
• Daily removal of trash from trash chutes
• Collection of trash and debris throughout the campus
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of disposal areas

General Community Support

• Complete touch-up painting projects in common areas
• Assist Housekeeping and Maintenance teams as needed
• Support community-wide projects and special assignments
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment

Resident Apartment Transfers

• Assist residents with apartment relocations
• Box and transport resident belongings
• Disassemble and reassemble furniture as needed
• Set up resident apartments after transfer
• Work with residents and families to ensure a smooth moving experience

Qualifications

Preferred Experience

Experience in any of the following areas is highly desirable:

• Commercial floor care
• Floor machine operation
• Environmental services
• Housekeeping
• Janitorial services
• Senior living communities
• Apartment communities
• Hotels and hospitality
• Healthcare facilities
• Commercial buildings

Additional experience is a plus:

• Floor machine maintenance and repair
• Interior painting
• Apartment turns
• Moving and furniture assembly
• Light maintenance work
• Customer service
• Commercial cleaning equipment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous floor care, housekeeping, janitorial, maintenance, or environmental services experience preferred
• Ability to safely operate commercial cleaning equipment
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and work throughout the day
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent customer service skills

Additional Requirements

Ability to pass a Level 2 Background Check

Ability to pass a drug screen
