HR Business Partner $70000 - $80000 per year | Hampton, VA | On-site | Permanent Manufacturing HR professional / Generous base + benefits A bit about us: The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic and hands‑on partner to manufacturing leadership, supporting day‑to‑day HR operations and aligning people initiatives with business objectives. This role will work closely with plant leadership, supervisors, and employees in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment to drive employee engagement, performance, and compliance. Why join us? Job Details Key Responsibilities HR Business Partnership & Operations Act as a trusted HR partner to plant leadership, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning Support daily HR operations within a manufacturing environment, including production and hourly workforce needs Collaborate with leadership to address workforce challenges and implement practical HR solutions Employee Relations Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions Ensure consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and company values Partner with leadership to foster a positive, compliant, and engaged work environment Performance Management & Development Support performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and corrective actions Coach supervisors and managers on employee performance, documentation, and feedback Assist with training initiatives to improve leadership capability and employee development Talent Acquisition & Retention Partner with hiring managers to support recruiting efforts for hourly and salaried roles Develop and implement retention strategies, particularly for production employees Help drive onboarding and employee engagement initiatives Compliance & HR Programs Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations Support HR programs including compensation, benefits, leave management, and training Maintain accurate HR records and assist with reporting and HR metrics Manufacturing Environment Support Maintain strong on‑site presence and engagement with production teams Support safety initiatives and reinforce compliance with workplace safety standards Understand operational needs such as shift structures, staffing levels, and production demands Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration is required 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment Experience supporting hourly workforce populations and working with front‑line supervisors Basic knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices Strong communication, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment Preferred Qualifications Experience in manufacturing, food & beverage, distribution, or industrial environments Exposure to employee relations investigations and performance management HRIS experience (e.g., UKG, Workday, ADP) PHR or SHRM‑CP certification Equal Opportunity Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
