Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12-Hour Day Hours per Shift: 11 am - 11 pm Experience: 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC Must-Have: Recent Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Experience Description: The role involves providing high-quality emergency care to patients. The nursing environment is fast-paced and requires high acuity handling. The Emergency Room has multiple trauma bays and observation beds. Staffing includes both physicians and mid-level providers. Charge nurses are present on each shift to support the team. Nurse aids, EMTs, and paramedics are available with specific ratios. RNs are required to read and interpret telemetry strips. RNs will float to the observation unit as needed. Shifts include varying schedules to meet department needs. Candidates must adhere to a strict fingernail policy. All required certifications must be current and up to date. A pass/fail exam will take place during orientation. This position requires the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Strong communication skills are essential for this role. RTO must be submitted upfront. Additional time off requests will not be approved post-submission. The organization reserves the right to cancel shifts as needed.
