Job Details Position: Travel Physical Therapist (PT) Location: Sunnyvale, California Start Date: 06/15/2026 Duration: 26 weeks Hours: 40 hours per week (8‑hour shifts) Shift: 8 hours during the day Employment Type: Travel Summary of Responsibilities The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Working in hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers, they create personalized, evidence‑based treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy to help patients recover and become independent. Essential Work Functions Evaluate patients’ conditions using standardized tests, examinations, and history. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement treatment plans using techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain. Operate and maintain physical therapy equipment and modalities. Assess progress, adjust plans, and document interventions in the medical record. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and others for coordinated care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control and safety protocols. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities. Collaborate in discharge planning for smooth transitions. Perform duties within scope of practice as assigned. Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Experience in Physical Therapy (New Graduates welcome). Additional certifications or licenses relevant to the position. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication. Proficiency in written and verbal English; PC skills. Physical Ability: stationary, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push/pull, bend. Interpersonal Skill: collaborate with diverse personnel professionally. Technical / Motor Skill: fine manipulation and equipment handling. Mental Requirements: cope with public contact, meet deadlines, work under supervision or independently.
