Staff Accountant

Location: Park City, Utah POWDR isseekingafull-time, year-round Staff Accountant to join our Accountingteam! This position will report to the Accounting Manager and provide general accounting best practices and GAAP to our accounting transactions. We are seeking a hybrid arrangement; as such, this position willberequiredto belocatedwithin the Park City, UT area. Weare not able tooffer a permanent 100% remote option. Key Responsibilities Maintainaccuratefinancial records and prepare financial statementsin accordance withGAAP. Assistin the monthly and annual close processes, including account reconciliations and journal entries. Monitor and analyze financial performance,identifyvariances,and provide recommendations. Answer accounting and financial questions through research and interpreting data. Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures. Assistwith audits by preparing necessary documentation for auditors asrequired. Protecttheorganization’svalue by keeping information confidential. Enhance job knowledge byparticipatingin educational opportunities, reading professional publications,maintainingpersonal networks, and participating in professional organizations. Other ad hoc duties as assigned. Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldrequired. Up to 2 years’ experience in the accounting/finance field, preferably in the hospitality or outdoor recreation industry. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel;proficiencyin accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, Coupa,FloQast)a plus. Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting. Demonstration of solid business acumen and ability to dig into financial details with a big picture perspective. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for working with employees at all levels of the company.
