We're seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP I) to join a supportive residential care team in San Jose, California. What You'll Do As a Direct Support Professional, you will: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, hygiene, and daily routines Implement individualized Behavior Support Plans and Health Care Plans Support residents in developing social, adaptive, and independent living skills Provide active engagement and programming throughout each shift Monitor and document resident progress, behaviors, and program participation Follow Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and care directives from the Program Administrator and Shift Lead Create a positive, supportive, and person-centered environment that promotes dignity and independence Ensure resident safety and well-being at all times Position Details Schedule Shift: AM Shift Hours: 6:30 AM 2:30 PM Days: Friday through Monday Weekly Hours: 32 Assignment Information Location: San Jose, CA Pay Rate: $24/hour Contract Length: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP Opening: 1 Position Modality: DSP Non-Driving Charting System: None Client Interview Required: Yes Interview Format: Microsoft Teams interview with recruiter and business development manager Qualifications Required High School Diploma, GED, or verified official transcripts Minimum 6 months of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) Current CPR/AED Certification Must be 18 years of age or older Ability to prioritize tasks and manage responsibilities effectively Knowledge of professional care standards and best practices Ability to meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements Current health clearance documentation as required TB Questionnaire, PPD, or Chest X-Ray if applicable Preferred Experience working as a DSP in an adult residential facility Candidates with residential DSP experience will receive priority consideration What You'll Need to Apply Please be prepared to provide: Current Resume Interview Availability Earliest Start Date Requested Time Off (RTO) Licensure and Certifications Why This Opportunity?
