Job Title: Stand-Up Forklift Operator – Warehouse
Job Description

This role focuses on safely operating a stand-up forklift in a fast-paced warehouse environment to load and unload kegs, manage inventory, and prepare orders for shipment. You will work with RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately locate, move, and track products, while helping maintain a clean and organized facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist with unloading and loading new and used kegs when trucks arrive at the facility.
• Operate a stand-up forklift safely and efficiently to move pallets and materials throughout the warehouse and refrigerated areas.
• Use an RF scanner and warehouse management systems such as WMS and SAP to locate, track, and manage inventory.
• Receive bin numbers and accurately locate beer pallets in refrigerated storage, ensuring correct placement and retrieval.
• Identify and resolve issues related to locating and moving materials in the stockroom, using a solution-oriented approach.
• Load and unload shipping trucks, ensuring products are handled carefully and staged correctly for delivery.
• Prepare packages and pallets for shipping, including wrapping, labeling, and organizing orders according to shipping requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse during downtime, including general housekeeping and adherence to safety standards.
• Handle inventory tasks such as counting, verifying, and organizing products to support accurate stock levels.
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and equipment operation guidelines.

• At least 2 years of warehouse experience.
• Previous stand-up forklift experience, with the ability to operate safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use an RF scanner for inventory tracking and order processing.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems, including WMS and SAP.
• Ability to lift cases up to 35 lbs and maneuver kegs up to approximately 170 lbs.
• Basic computer skills for inventory, shipping, and warehouse documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when locating and moving products.
• Solution-oriented mindset to troubleshoot and resolve material handling and inventory issues.

• Previous experience in the food and beverage industry is preferred.
• Forklift experience is preferred; on-site certification will be provided.
• Comfort working in a very fast-paced warehouse and refrigerated environments.
• Ability to maintain organization and cleanliness in a busy warehouse setting.

Work Environment

The warehouse is climate-controlled, providing a comfortable working temperature, with occasional work required in refrigerated areas to retrieve product and cases. The role is based in the Richmond, VA area. Available shifts include 2nd shift (3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday through Friday) and 3rd shift (11:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., Sunday through Thursday). You will work in a fast-paced brewery and warehouse setting, using stand-up forklifts, RF scanners, and warehouse management systems, while adhering to safety and cleanliness standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sandston, VA.

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $21.00/hr.
