All Around Child is seeking a nurturing, dependable, and passionate Early Preschool Teacher to join our team. This role focuses on creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment where young children can build confidence, independence, and a love for learning.

The ideal candidate brings warmth, patience, and strong classroom management skills, along with a solid understanding of early childhood development. This position plays an important role in supporting children’s social-emotional growth, early academic readiness, and positive peer interactions during a key stage of development.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with our curriculum and early learning standards
• Create a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence
• Ensure full compliance with KDHE licensing regulations and all health and safety procedures
• Support children’s social-emotional development, including cooperation, problem-solving, and self-regulation
• Foster language development, early literacy, and foundational math skills through play-based and hands-on learning
• Use positive guidance and effective classroom management strategies
• Encourage independence with routines such as toileting, handwashing, and self-help skills
• Maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, observations, and assessments
• Communicate regularly and professionally with parents/guardians about their child’s progress and daily experiences
• Collaborate with team members and leadership to maintain consistency and high-quality standards
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a licensed childcare or classroom setting is preferred
• Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices for ages 3–4
• Knowledge of childcare health and safety regulations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred but not required
