Maintenance Technician

Assists in the performance of general, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing maintenance tasks. Complies with established safety guidelines and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs all general, preventative, and supportive maintenance tasks with supervision
• Assists all technicians on emergency and corrective maintenance
• Change light bulbs, filters, and other items assigned
• Maintains and cleans mechanical rooms
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment

Required Qualifications:

Educational Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent

Other Required Qualifications: Current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license

Required Experience: Previous related maintenance experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Educational Qualifications: Undergraduate or Advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

ABILITIES: Able to build upon existing knowledge in the technical application of maintenance work Able to adapt to changing work environments Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines

KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of basic hand tools and power tools

SKILLS: Proficient in basic plumbing skills, including installing, maintaining, and repairing pipes, valves, and fixtures and effectively troubleshooting issues like leaks, clogs, and malfunctions. Skilled in basic electrical repairs, including replacing lamps, drivers, ballasts, outlets, and switches, with a foundational understanding of electrical systems and circuits. Proficient in basic HVAC preventative maintenance Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite) Strong attention to detail and follow up skills Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
