Project Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead complex, business-side transformation initiatives for large global banking organizations, with a focus on payments and trade finance. This is a functional and delivery-focused project management role rather than a pure IT Project Manager position. The role will drive end-to-end project delivery, process improvement, and digital transformation while managing senior stakeholders across multiple geographies. The successful candidate will have strong banking domain expertise and proven experience delivering business and functional transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
• Own end-to-end delivery of payments and trade finance transformation projects within global banking environments.
• Plan, track, and manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, and expected benefits.
• Lead functional change initiatives, including operating model, process, and policy changes.
• Drive digital transformation initiatives across payments and related banking domains.
• Conduct change impact assessments and ensure effective communication and stakeholder alignment.
• Work closely with senior business stakeholders across regions to manage expectations, negotiations, and escalations.
• Prepare and present project status reports, steering committee presentations, risk and issue logs, and resource plans.
• Champion Agile ways of working and align project teams with appropriate Agile practices and delivery cadences.
• Ensure projects deliver measurable business outcomes rather than focusing solely on consulting deliverables.
• Manage cross-functional teams and dependencies across business, operations, and technology stakeholders.
• Identify and address project risks, issues, and dependencies to support successful transformation delivery.

Required Qualifications
• Strong functional project management experience within global banking environments.
• Deep banking domain knowledge with experience working with global banks.
• Hands-on experience in Trade Finance and Payments, including payments transformation, digital payment journeys, and process change.
• Proven experience delivering business and functional transformation projects rather than solely IT implementations.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex end-to-end projects across scope, timelines, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, and benefits.
• Experience leading digital transformation initiatives within banking and payments environments.
• Experience managing senior stakeholders across multiple regions and organizational functions.
• Strong experience with change impact assessment, stakeholder alignment, communication, and escalation management.
• Experience working with Agile practices and delivery methodologies.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and presentation skills.
