Lab Technician - Pharmaceudicals Entry-Level | Long-term Growth | Offers Benefits Job Description This lab technician role focuses on supporting a pharmaceutical environment by preparing medications for compounding, assisting specialists with day-to-day operations, and managing the shipping and receiving of finished pharmaceutical products. The position involves hands-on work with compounding equipment, sterile production in cleanrooms, and adherence to strict quality assurance and documentation standards. Responsibilities + Prepare medications for compounding in accordance with established procedures and quality standards. + Assist pharmacists with daily operational tasks in a commercial pharmacy setting. + Operate powder machines, tablet and capsule grinding equipment, and other production machinery safely and accurately. + Perform sterile compounding activities in a cleanroom environment while following all safety and cleanliness protocols. + Ensure correct weights, measurements, and quantities for all compounded and packaged products. + Package finished pharmaceutical products and prepare them for shipment in compliance with shipping guidelines. + Handle shipping and receiving of finished products, including labeling, documentation, and coordination with the shipping dock. + Complete all required production and quality documentation accurately and promptly, following strict quality assurance programs. + Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of facilities, cleanrooms, and equipment to maintain a safe and compliant work area. + Participate in necessary training and continuing education to maintain and enhance technical and regulatory knowledge. + Demonstrate effective communication with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other team members. + Contribute to a collaborative team environment by proactively seeking ways to help colleagues and support workflow. + Maintain a strong focus on quality, productivity, safety, and security in all aspects of work. + Follow written instructions and standard operating procedures and use sound reasoning to solve routine problems. Requirements + Laboratory OR Pharmacy experience with a HS diploma, Associates degree, or Bachelors degree Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mankato, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
