BUS OPERATOR - ESY Special Education (3 NEEDED)

School Bus Operator

Perform pre/post trip inspections

Learn route, including pick up and drop off locations

Safely use fire extinguisher

Assist and supervise students with disabilities

Communicate with students, parents, school officials and supervisors

Mop and clean inside and outside the vehicle

Complete proper paperwork

Work overtime as needed

Ability to sit for long periods of time

Ability to tolerate ill children and clean up from student sickness accidents

Walk from the operator's seat to the rear of the bus. Open all emergency exits. Install snow chains on a bus. Raise the hood of a conventional school bus and check oil levels and antifreeze levels. Remove obstructions from wind shield and under wiper blades.

The program will be evaluated weekly to determine continuing need. All positions are for as needed based on student participation. Daily rate commensurate with degree level and experience; hours and schedule determined by Special Education Director

BUS PICKUP DAY (HALF DAY) - 6/22/26

Session 1 - 06/23/26-7/3/26 (Independence Day will be observed on 7/3; no ESY that day and staff will be paid)

Break - 7/6/26-7/10/26

Session 2 - 07/13/26-7/23/26

BUS CHECK IN DAY - 7/24/26 (HALF DAY)
