Tax Accountant

Job Description We are a Tax Preparation & Consulting Firm in Pleasanton. We are fortunate to have experienced continuous significant growth and have attracted great clients with complex tax situations that create challenging and interesting work in other than Taxes, streamlining filing compliance procedures as per IRS guidelines, and International Reporting for our whole group of employees/ partners. We provide tax services to all types of clients, including C Corporations, Partnerships, S-corporations, LLCs, and individuals, with a great number of clients for Streamlined Filing Compliance Procedures as per IRS guidelines, New Business Incorporation, Accounting, Payroll, Sales tax, and Business Valuation, etc. Our firm is focused on providing high-quality services to high-net-worth individuals, small businesses, and flow-through entities. To achieve that, we strive for continuous improvements, provide exceptional customer service, and deliver timely, high-quality work to our clients. We are looking for experienced Tax Professionals for Full Time/ Part Time work during the upcoming busy Tax Season. If the candidate is a good fit, there is a great possibility for the right candidates to be hired as Full-time employees. Working hours are flexible and will start off around 20-30 hours per week and increase to 30-50 hours per week. Must be willing to work over the weekends during peak tax season. Senior Tax Reviewer - HYBRID ($70K- 103K) The Tax Senior is responsible for supervising all tasks associated with tax engagements, including the mentoring and training of staff, working closely with management in the review of tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals in addition to review and preparation of income tax provisions. The minimum qualifications for the Tax Senior/Supervisor position are: 3-7 years of tax and accounting experience; experience in large regional firm experience, a plus. Must be a licensed CPA/ EA or have passed parts of the CPA/ EA exam. MS in Taxation preferred, but not required. Proficiency in corporate, partnership, and individual taxation, including the ability to review returns by staff and to provide planning, research, and compliance services to our clients; familiarity with fiduciary returns, a plus. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple client engagements. The ability to supervise staff associated with tax engagements, including mentoring and training of staff. Outstanding interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong computer skills, working knowledge of MS Word and Excel. Experience with Quick Books, AME/ Intuit Payroll, Pro Series Tax software, a plus. Experience working in a paperless environment. Highly motivated to learn technical skills in an on-the-job learning environment. Must be serious about a career in tax and have a strong desire to learn. Tax Preparer – Full-Time/ Part-Time ($55K-$75k) Qualifications / Experience: Strong computer skills (solid knowledge of Pro Series Tax Software is a plus) with 2-4 years of prior experience in individual/ Business income tax preparation required; must be able to prepare tax returns independently and accurately with supporting work papers and documentation. EA/ CPA or CTEC with a valid CA license and PTIN preferred. Experience with QuickBooks/ ADP/ Intuit Payroll preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word) and Adobe Acrobat.
