Job Description

Gadsden Regional Medical Center is seeking a full-time Board Eligible/Board Certified  Family Medicine Physician  to join our Family Medicine Residency Program in Gadsden, Alabama as  Core Faculty.

Position Highlights:

• Practice and teach comprehensive family medicine, including newborn and pediatric care, adult medicine, and geriatrics.
• Provide clinical supervision of residents in an outpatient clinic setting.
• Provide clinical supervision in the inpatient hospital setting (1 week/4-5 weeks)
• Participate in weekly didactic lectures, including procedural and clinical workshops.
• Serve as a resident advisor, mentor, and role model
• OB optional
• Medical student teaching and supervision
• Opportunities for supported volunteer international work

Gadsden Regional Medical Center is a 346-bed acute care hospital located in Gadsden, Alabama, approximately 60 miles northeast of Birmingham. The hospital offers a broad range of services, including emergency care, cardiology and cardiac surgery, cancer care, womens and childrens services, and inpatient and outpatient surgical services across multiple specialties. Gadsden Regional serves as a major healthcare provider for Etowah County and the surrounding region.
