Grocery Store Assistant Manager

Location: 2535 N. Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33305 Assistant Store Manager As the right‑hand to the Store Manager, you will be trained on all aspects of store operations and help achieve key performance and financial objectives, including directional and performance planning. You will be a great merchant, a passionate leader, and committed to ensuring every customer experience is better than the last. Responsibilities Assist with all aspects of store operations including customer service, store condition and the selection, training, supervising, and performance management of Store Sales Associates. Assist in unloading all merchandise from delivery trucks, organize merchandise, and transfer merchandise from stockroom to store. Collaborate with team members to ensure the store meets or exceeds established merchandising standards for product quality, presentation, and visual marketing/merchandising. Keep up with reporting to support sales, earnings, and minimize shrink. Assume full management responsibility in the absence of the Store Manager. Qualifications Two or more years of grocery or retail management experience. Hands‑on leadership experience in grocery retail (such as Produce, Deli/Bakery, or Meat/Seafood departments) is highly preferred but not required. Physical ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs with frequent lifting above shoulder height. Ability to work a flexible, full‑time schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be 18 years of age or older. High School Diploma or equivalent. Successfully pass pre‑employment checks, including a drug screen and criminal background check.
