Parkinson's and Movement Disorders Physicians – Northwell Health The Department of Neurology of Northwell Health is seeking BC/BE full‑time Movement Disorders Physicians to provide superb clinical care, participate in innovative care models, engage in collaborative research, lead progressive community programs, and contribute to the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. As the Movement Disorders program is rapidly expanding, we are looking for additional faculty members to join our multi‑disciplinary team with full‑time opportunities available at the following locations: Locations Glen Cove Hospital (Glen Cove, NY) – Nassau County South Shore University Hospital (Bayshore, NY) – Suffolk County Lenox Hill Hospital (Manhattan, NY) – Manhattan Phelps Hospital (Sleepy Hollow, NY) – Westchester About the Program Northwell’s Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders program is among the largest in the Northeast, and provides comprehensive medical, rehabilitative, and surgical care in its primary academic locations and care centers. The surgical program includes an active Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) program and high‑intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU). The Center’s multidisciplinary team includes board‑certified neurologists and neurosurgeons, nurse practitioners, nurses, neuropsychologists and social workers. The Center collaborates closely with Northwell’s Rehabilitation Network, including occupational, physical, speech and other therapists, to help patients with Parkinson’s disease lead active and satisfying lives. Glen Cove Hospital hosts a unique 12‑bed Parkinson’s and movement disorders inpatient unit, offering advanced rehabilitation services and medical and surgical optimization for patients with more advanced disease, integrated with the DBS program for post‑surgical programming combined with intense rehabilitation and medication optimization. The program recently received Joint Commission certification and is a leading inpatient program in the US. Candidate Qualifications M.D. degree from an accredited institution (ACGME or foreign program similarly accredited) Completion of Neurology residency and Movement Disorders fellowship Board Certified or Board Eligible Licensed or eligible to be licensed in the State of New York Incentives Competitive salaries with annual incentive compensation bonus Paid medical malpractice insurance Retirement contributions 403(b) match and 457(b) plans CME allowance Compensation Full‑time clinical base compensation ranges from $125,000 to $750,000 and may be modified in the future based on physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity.
