Join our small family-owned business as an Over the Road Company Tractor Trailer Truck Driver. You will be responsible for transporting freight over long distances primarily using flatbed trucks. We value safety, reliability, and experience, and offer competitive pay based on your background. Enjoy home most weekends with no runs to the East Coast. CDL-A license and the ability to pass drug and alcohol testing are required. Flatbed experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate. You would drive a new truck with automatic transmission. We use ELDs for log books.
Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailer trucks over long distances across assigned routes
- Handle flatbed load securement and ensure cargo is safely transported
- Perform daily vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards
- Plan routes effectively to meet schedules and avoid restricted areas
- Comply with all safety and regulatory requirements, including drug and alcohol testing
- Maintain accurate logbooks and records of driving hours and cargo
- Communicate professionally with customers and dispatch
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional truck driving experience. ** Depending on experience this could be paid per mile or salary.**
