Discover more by following us on LinkedIn!Job Description General FunctionThe Distribution Clerk processes outgoing packages to ship to customers.Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssemble and fill boxes and other cartons with items to be shippedEnsure outgoing packages are packed correctly, accurately and timelyPrint shipping labels, schedule pick-ups, and ensure each package has the proper postagePrepare the minimum amount of boxes for the daily work load (100 – 200 boxes)Use of RF scanner, scales, postage machines and forklift to perform job dutiesProcess orders based upon preferred shipping system (UPS, FedEx, DHL)Maintain a clean and safe work area and update supplies as neededAssist with cycle countingResponsible for any additional duties assignedBasic QualificationsHigh School or GED requiredPrevious experience working in a fast paced environmentExcellent communication skillsAbility to prioritize, maintain organization, and meet strict deadlinesAbility to work well with all associates. Reliable, Career-oriented candidatesStrong attention to detailAbility to work independently with minimal supervisorProven attendance recordAbility to work in a standing/walking position for up to 10 hoursBend and twist as needed. Use of repetitive motion of hands and wristsAbility to lift/carry up to 30 pounds. Ability to work flexible hours and overtime, including evenings and weekends, as requested by managementPreferred QualificationsPrior experience in a Shipping / Receiving departmentEmployee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
