Principal Endpoint Security Systems Engineer

Job Summary Leidos is looking for a Principal Endpoint Security Systems Engineer for the Intel Security Sector's Analysis Solutions Business Area. The Engineer will design, deploy, maintain, and upgrade endpoint security capabilities, supporting both Linux and Windows mission systems in a hybrid cloud/on-prem environment. Primary Responsibilities Maintain and upgrade central management consoles (currently Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator) on multiple isolated networks. Integrate mission application servers (Linux and Windows) with the management console. Deploy malware protection software updates and improve scan exclusion policies on mission application servers. Troubleshoot integration issues and respond to mission teams promptly, including performance impacts from real‑time scans. Automate and improve performance of the endpoint security suite within hybrid environments. Integrate endpoint security scan processes for reporting via external tools such as Splunk or AppDynamics. Investigate malware findings on mission application servers. Basic Qualifications Experience with Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator and Trellix Endpoint Threat Protection. Experience maintaining systems on Linux and Windows platforms. Ability to partner with mission application teams to troubleshoot endpoint security integration. Experience with incident detection, incident response, and forensics. Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and outstanding problem‑solving skills. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (12+ years relevant experience). Additional experience may substitute for a degree. Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Cisco Secure Endpoint (AMP for Endpoints) or other endpoint security tools. Experience with AWS cloud computing technologies. Experience integrating endpoint security findings with external products such as Splunk or AppDynamics. Experience managing endpoint security across on‑prem and cloud environment boundaries. Experience with additional cybersecurity tools and processes such as Splunk, Rapid7, SolarWinds, Cisco IDS/IPS, VPN, WebInspect, AppDetective.
