They strive to provide a collaborative environment where everyone feels encouraged to contribute to their processes, decisions, planning, and culture.To succeed as the Senior Insurance Accounting Specialist, you should have:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and month-end closeInsurance industry accounting experience strongly preferred, particularly with an agency, MGA, wholesale broker, or insurance carrierExperience with premium accounting, carrier settlements, commissions, premium trust accounting, and premium tax reporting preferredIntermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and data analysisExperience with accounting/ERP systems; familiarity with AMS360 or a similar agency management system preferredStrong attention to detail, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage high volumes, shifting priorities, deadlines, and confidential informationYour responsibilities as the Senior Insurance Accounting Specialist will include:Banking: post checks, schedule ACHs and reconcile bank statementsCommissions: run statements, process payments via check and ACH, and remit commission statements to stakeholdersInvoicing: invoice premiums, policy and broker fees, balance reports, allocate funds already received, and run daily processesTaxes: file and pay premium taxesCarrier Settlements: Pay premiums to insurance companiesReceivables: Follow up on monies owed to TWFG/APIAOther duties as assignedBring your expertise, take ownership of a growing operation, and help shape what's next.
