Electro-Mechanical Technician

Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Technician Responsibilities Assists other Technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment. Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics) and diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeter, laptop). Installs, maintains, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical, electronic systems, control components of industrial machines, tools, and production/utility equipment. Diagnoses, repairs, and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment, including seals, gaskets and bearings on motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, etc. Troubleshoots and repairs complex electrical/electronic problems with equipment, networks, PC logic control Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and external Input/Output (I/O) devices where the repair is not immediately visible or obvious. Other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications Enrolled in Trade/Technical School certification. 3+ years mechanical troubleshooting and repair. 3+ years electrical troubleshooting and repair. Preferred Qualifications Trade/Technical School certification. 5+ years mechanical troubleshooting and repair. 5+ years electrical troubleshooting and repair. Experience in robotics. Controls troubleshooting experience. Networking troubleshooting experience. Fit for the Role Must have ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks efficiently. Must have good teamwork and communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision. Good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to work with machine operators, mechanics, contractors and/or vendors. Must have a positive attitude.
