Nurse Extern PRN

We are seeking a Nurse Extern PRN to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department and support our nursing team in delivering exceptional, patient‑centered care. As a Nurse Extern PRN at Mission Health, you will work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, gaining hands‑on clinical experience while developing the practical skills needed for a successful nursing career. In this role, you will assist with basic patient care activities such as vital signs, hygiene, mobility, intake and output monitoring, and comfort measures, while observing and learning core nursing processes including assessments, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration. You will help maintain a safe, clean, and healing environment, follow infection prevention and patient safety protocols, and support patients and families with clear, compassionate communication. You will collaborate closely with RNs, physicians, and other members of the care team to contribute to individualized care plans, promptly report changes in patient condition, and ensure timely escalation of concerns. The position offers valuable exposure to hospital workflows, electronic health record documentation, and quality and safety initiatives that align with Mission Health’s standards of excellence.
