Civil Engineering - Assistant Project Manager

Overview As a Civil Engineering Assistant Project Manager for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Pittsburgh, PA office, you will work with project teams to create civil engineering site development designs, develop permitting and construction plans, and prepare municipal zoning and land development applications for our commercial, industrial, institutional, and energy clients. You’ll design site layouts, site grading, erosion and sedimentation controls, stormwater management facilities, and site utilities, from concept through regulatory review, bidding, and construction to project completion. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates. Responsibilities Collaborate with project teams to plan and execute civil/site designs for diverse projects (solar farms, university expansions, steel mills, natural gas facilities, etc.). Develop permitting and construction plans; prepare zoning and land development applications. Coordinate with clients, contractors, and local government officials; participate in industry meetings as needed. Assist with project management activities, mentor junior staff on technical topics, and coordinate with other practices (geotechnical, environmental, ecological, etc.). Contribute to overall project performance from design through construction and closeout. Qualifications Bachelor\u2019s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent 5+ years of professional engineering experience Engineering In Training (EIT) certification required or Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure preferred Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and Storm Sewers Ability and desire to mentor junior staff Compensation & Benefits Candidates who meet the qualifications above are eligible for up to a $5,000 sign-on bonus.
