Dental Hygienist (RDH) – Full-Time | Bonuses & Benefits

Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Compensation: $45–$52 per hour, plus monthly production bonuses and performance incentives

About the Opportunity

A busy, growing dental practice is seeking a motivated and patient-focused Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join its clinical team. Responsibilities

• Provide preventive dental hygiene services, including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, fluoride treatments, and sealant applications.

• Perform oral health assessments, review medical and dental histories, check vital signs, and identify potential oral health concerns.

• Take diagnostic dental X-rays and maintain accurate patient records.

• Educate patients on oral hygiene, brushing and flossing techniques, nutrition, and recommended treatment.

• Collaborate with dentists to identify periodontal concerns, discuss treatment recommendations, and support comprehensive patient care.

• Administer local anesthesia when authorized and appropriately certified.

• Maintain proper sterilization, infection control, and OSHA and HIPAA compliance.

• Schedule follow-up hygiene appointments and support patient retention and recall efforts.

• Maintain efficient appointment flow while delivering a positive patient experience.

• Travel to nearby practice locations as needed.

Qualifications

Required

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited CODA program.

• Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in good standing for the state of practice.

• Current CPR certification.

• Required radiography certification or authorization.

• At least one year of experience working as a dental hygienist.

Preferred

• Experience with periodontal therapy, hygiene diagnosis, and treatment presentations.

• Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and patient education skills.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with the dental team.

• Commitment to patient comfort, quality care, and professional development.

Performance Expectations

The ideal candidate is committed to excellent clinical care, patient retention, and efficient scheduling. Key performance goals include:

• Reappointing at least 95% of patients for future hygiene visits.

• Maintaining a target of $150 per hour in unassisted production.

• Completing routine adult hygiene and new-patient appointments within established scheduling guidelines.

• Supporting patient acceptance of recommended preventive treatments.
