As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a Bidding Specialist / Estimator to help strengthen our project pipeline and support operational excellence.

Position Overview

This newly created role is a key addition to the team. The Bidding Specialist / Estimator will oversee the full bidding and estimating process - from gathering project details to preparing and submitting accurate, competitive proposals.

This position works closely with multiple departments to ensure estimates reflect the company's capabilities, cost structures, and strategic goals. The role collaborates with Accounting, Purchasing, and Operations.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, coordinate, and submit project bids and estimates

Review drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to develop accurate cost estimates

Partner with AR and AP to align cost data, billing structures, and project requirements

Work with Purchasing to obtain pricing for materials, equipment, and subcontractors

Collaborate with Operations to confirm labor needs, timelines, and execution plans

Ensure all bids receive proper internal review and approval

Track submitted bids, follow up with clients, and maintain organized bid logs

Identify cost‑saving opportunities and support process improvements

Maintain accurate documentation for all bids, proposals, and supporting materials

Qualifications

Experience in estimating, bidding, or project coordination

(construction, welding, fabrication, or oil & gas preferred)

Strong understanding of project costing, materials, and labor estimation

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications

Strong communication, organization, and cross‑department collaboration skills

High attention to detail and accuracy

Proficiency in Excel; experience with estimating or project software is a plus

Bilingual in English and Spanish
