Bartender – The Rustic, The Colony (Opening Team)

Welcome to The Rustic
The Rustic is coming to Grandscape in The Colony, and we’re building our opening team. Born in Uptown Dallas, The Rustic is a Texas original where live music, wood-grilled food, and ice-cold Texas beer come together under one roof. Guests come for local musicians every night, hand-crafted American favorites like The Rustic Burger and Texas Hot Chicken, premium cocktails, daily happy hour, and family-friendly weekend brunch. Whether it’s a night out with friends, a birthday, or a lazy Sunday brunch, The Rustic is where good food, good music, and good people come together.

The Role
Our bartenders are at the center of the action. You’ll pour cold Texas beer, craft premium cocktails, and keep the bar buzzing from happy hour through the last song of the night. You’ll also keep drinks flowing to the floor so our servers can take care of their guests. As part of the opening team, you’ll train with us from day one and help set the tone for a brand-new bar. If you love the energy of a busy bar, take pride in a well-made drink, and know how to make every guest feel like a regular, you’ll play a key role in Creating Remarkable Memories for our guests.

Compensation: hourly wage plus tips.

What You’ll Do

• Set up, stock, and break down the bar with attention to cleanliness and organization

• Greet bar guests, take orders, and recommend cocktails, beer, wine, and food

• Mix and serve drinks accurately and consistently to our recipes and pour standards

• Prepare service bar tickets quickly so drinks reach the floor on time, even during live shows and busy weekends

• Check IDs and serve alcohol responsibly in line with TABC requirements

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and safety standards

What We’re Looking For

• Bartending experience preferred, especially in a high-volume or live music setting

• Solid knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine

• Speed, accuracy, and composure when the bar is three deep

• Comfort using a POS system and handling cash and payments

• Friendly, outgoing, guest-first attitude

• Clear communication and a genuine team mindset

• TABC Seller-Server Certification and Texas Food Handler Certification

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for full shifts

• Ability to lift and carry cases, kegs, and ice bins up to [50] lbs

• Availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and brunch shifts
