Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Shifts | Days (0630–1830) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and manage patients presenting with diagnoses including CVA, TIA, shortness of breath, subdural hematoma, and generalized weakness
• Administer and manage common drips and medications including PCA pumps, Cardizem, and insulin
• Perform telemetry monitoring and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Conduct hourly rounding and maintain high standards of patient responsiveness and experience
• Float to medical-surgical areas as needed based on unit census and staffing demands

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Telemetry competency
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Experience with Alaris IV pumps
• Ability to comply with facility fingernail policy (artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a PCU, stepdown, or intermediate care unit setting
• Ability to manage a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong organizational and time-management skills
• Collaborative team-oriented approach to patient care
