POSITION SUMMARY

Janitors are employees who sweep, mop, and dust the facilities, are responsible for general cleaning and snow shoveling, operate the mechanized floor scrubber, clean offices, empty trash cans and barrels, dumpsters, etc.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Ø Sweep and clean debris from warehouse floors.

Ø The goal is to keep the business running clean and smoothly.

Ø Work to ensure that warehouse facilities are orderly, clean, clutter-free, and safe.

Ø Collect trash, sweep, mop, vacuum, or use industrial cleaning equipment to clean floors

SAFETY

Complies with all company safety procedures.

SAFETY

Complies with all government and company safety regulations.

EQUIPMENT USED

Is able to operate, train on, and train others on all equipment used in their area of responsibility.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Frequently lifts up to 75 pounds and adjusts body position to stoop, bend, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and remain standing for extended periods of time.

Has a good sense of balance.

Has good hand-eye-foot coordination.

Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending on the season.
