Summary:We are seeking a dedicated Line Cook to join a fast-paced team. Duties and responsibilities will include preparing high-quality dishes according to standardized recipes and instructions, keeping workstations clean and orderly, and working closely with other team members to ensure efficiency in a dynamic kitchen environment. Attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and the ability to work well under pressure are essential for success in this role.Hours: Monday-Thursday, 2:00 PM - 7:30 PMRequired Duties and Responsibilities:Assist chefs with preparing meals for the CafeHandle cash and credit transactions with customers Scan goods and collect paymentsIssue receipts, refunds, change, or ticketsRedeem stamps and couponsMake sales referrals, cross-sell products, and introduce new onesResolve customer complaints, guide them, and provide relevant informationGreet customers when entering or leaving establishmentsMaintain clean and tidy areasKeep reports of transactionsBag, box, or wrap packagesStock itemsPleasantly deal with customers to ensure high satisfactionAssist other café staff in cleanup, dishes, and next-day preparationsEnsure that students and staff are treated respectfully and equally without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, age (40 years or over), national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, pregnancy, childbirth, or pregnancy-related condition. Report all violations immediately to HR or Student ServicesAdherence to all Dixie Tech Policies and ProceduresOther duties as assignedRequirements and Qualifications:Proven working experience as a retail cashier or sales position preferredBasic familiarity with electronic equipment (e.g., cash register, scanners, money counters, etc.)Strong communication and time management skillsCustomer satisfaction-orientedAttention to detail and mathematical skillsSales skillsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
