About the Position

Job Title: Echo Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cardiac Sonographer Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (07:30 - 18:00) Experience: Minimum 3 years required License: Pending State License accepted Certifications: BLS and RDCS - Adults required. RDCS-Peds preferred Must-Have: Inpatient and ER experience required. Outpatient, Teaching hospital, PICU, Neonate, and NICU preferred. General skills: Portables and Syngo required. IV Starts, PACS, and Biopsies preferred. Echo Procedure Experience: 3D Echo, Bubble Study, Contrast Agents, M-Mode, Pharm Stress Echos, RIT/RVOT, TEE, and Treadmill Stress Echos. Equipment/Scanner Experience: Siemens and Phillips preferred. Description: Position for Echo Tech with a shift schedule from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Thursday through Sunday. The department performs 75-100 inpatient and outpatient echoes daily. New graduates are not accepted, and a minimum of three years of experience is needed. Weekend work is required every weekend. Possible occasional call may be included. Flexibility to float within the hospital is expected. Local candidates are accepted, and ideally, no more than five days of requested time off should be considered. The client may cancel up to three shifts without penalties. Preferred experience in TTE, TEE, Stress Echoes, Strain, Oncology, and Research. Certifications required include BLS and RDCS, with additional preferences for pediatric echo experience. Candidates must comply with all necessary background checks and fingerprinting processes. Travelers will receive a stipend for completing specific pre-start training modules. All candidates are expected to have proficiency in Excellian/Epic charting systems. Additional preferences include experience with adults, geriatrics, and various echo procedures.
