Senior Estimator

A leading heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to support public and private infrastructure projects throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. This individual will prepare accurate, competitive estimates and work closely with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers from preconstruction through project handoff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to determine project scope, risks, and resource requirements.
• Prepare detailed estimates for heavy civil and sitework projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs, develop pricing, and solicit subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Evaluate bids and negotiate pricing with subcontractors and vendors.
• Identify value-engineering opportunities and potential cost savings.
• Prepare change-order pricing and support project teams after award.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and industry partners.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years' estimating experience within heavy civil construction.
• Strong knowledge of the Greater Philadelphia construction market.
• Experience estimating public and private infrastructure, earthwork, utilities, paving, or related civil scopes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction estimating/project-management software.
• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
