Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor & Delivery / Post Partum Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: - Minimum of 24 months of current Labor Delivery, Post Partum, and Mother-Baby experience - Experience in Post Partum / Mother-Baby care - Experience in Labor Delivery - C-section and vaginal delivery experience including triage - Drip experience, including magnesium, insulin, and pitocin License: - Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - AWHONN certification Must-Have: - No first-time travelers; must have completed at least one travel assignment in the previous 12 months - Intermediate or Advanced EFM/AWHONN certificate accepted Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Labor & Delivery and Post Partum specialty. The nurse will work in a 24-bed maternity unit with a patient ratio of 1:3-4 couplets. The role includes care for patients during c-sections, vaginal deliveries, and triage. The nurse will be responsible for providing compassionate care to mothers and newborns. The position requires working every third weekend and 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays, unless the unit is closed. The traveler will be required to float across all campuses. Scrubs will be provided by the facility. Candidates must adhere to specific requirements and possess the necessary experience and certifications to ensure high-quality patient care.
