Duties

As a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN, GS-2005-07 , you will serve as manager for assigned materials. Review justification and approves issues for emergency requests. Manage and review supply transactions based on dollar limitations, status of Obligation Authority (OA), status of consumer funds and verifying with requisitioning activity. Initiate and review input/output reports to ensure that adequate and accurate management information is provided as directed. Maintain contacts with customers for critical shortages. Draft correspondence pertaining to individual transactions or stock numbers for assigned materials. Perform other duties as assigned.

• This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.

• Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.

• Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.

This is a Dual Status Excepted Service Technician position in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.

AOC 2: NG employees in the DCSG4 (This includes Combined Support Maintenance Shop - West, Director of Logistics, State Surface Maintenance Office, FMS's 2, 4, 5, 9, 10, 16, 17, 24, 27, 28, 29, and 33, and the Combined Support Maintenance Shop - East)

AOC 3: NG Employees of the Pennsylvania National Guard

AOC 4: All service members of the Pennsylvania National Guard (This includes M-Day Soldiers, Temporary Technicians and AGR Personnel)

Military Grades :

Warrant Officer: WO1-CW5

Enlisted: E1-E9

The supervisor for this position is CW5 Wolfe.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered. Experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 12 months experience, education, or training which demonstrates a thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment. Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts. Experience performing routine aspects of supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management.

QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled.

SPECIAL NOTE: Per the Merit Promotion and Placement Plan (MP3) if there are more than 15 qualified applicants for each position, by category, a KSA board will be convened in accordance with Chapter 4 of the MP3.
