Night Auditor Part Time | Service Ship Bottom, NJ, US | 11p-7am, 2‑3 nights a week | Requisition ID: 2280 Salary Range: $18.00 – $18.00 Hourly SUMMARY The Night Auditor is primarily responsible for accurate hotel accounting of guest transactions, billing, and hotel revenue, while also performing the duties of a Front Desk Agent. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Guest Service Maintain guest service as the driving philosophy of the operation. Demonstarate commitment to guest service by responding promptly to guests’ needs. Ensure each guest is satisfied and meet or exceed guest satisfaction measures. Apply hotel standards and services to achieve consistent guest service. Implement and practice guest service initiatives and perform to Gulph Creek Hotel Standards. Front Desk Operations Greet all guests (internal and external). Process guest reservations, registration (check‑in) and departures (check‑outs). Provide assistance at every opportunity and respond to all guest requests efficiently. Offer information on hotel policies, services, amenities, and local area. Maintain accurate guest information in the property management system. Handle collection efforts of all in‑house balances and notify management of potential liabilities. Balance cash, checks, credit card and ledger accounts, verify shift reports, and perform audit functions if assigned. Maintain daily logs and checklists and communicate all pertinent information to department staff. Assist in PBX/Swichboard, bellman, concierge services, reservations and other operations as necessary. Comply with all standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations. Maintain regular attendance, high personal appearance and grooming standards. Maintain and organize work area regularly. Other duties as required. Night Audit Operations Close and balance room accounts. Count and balance cash and credit card receipts/transactions. Balance all department transactions. Maintain/balance all direct bill accounts. Make adjustments/corrections to accounts to maintain accurate folios. Print and distribute various audit reports. Complete all audit checklists and logs. Close the business day and start the new business cycle. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School diploma or equivalent, plus relative experience in customer service. LANGUAGE AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Read and speak English; comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos. Present information effectively in one‑on‑one and small group situations. Communicate effectively with employees, guests and supervisors. Add, subtract, multiply, divide including whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; compute rates, ratios, percentages; interpret bar graphs.
