Please elect which location(s) you are applying for during your application.The Project Manager (PM) is the company's "management representative" to the various stakeholders on the project (e.g., owner, design team, trade partner management, AHJs, etc.) and is responsible for the safe completion of their projects within budget, on schedule, to the company's quality standards and to the customer's satisfaction. The PM has the authority to take the required actions to achieve these objectives, and to ensure all project activities are consistent with contract documents and the company's policies. The PM and PS work as a complementary team to plan and build the project. The PM's first responsibility is to support the effectiveness of the PS and the project staff. Generally, the PM will concentrate on long-term planning, scheduling and the identification and resolution of possible "roadblocks" and "pitfalls" which could have an impact on the project. The PM is responsible for ensuring that all logistical support is completed in a timely manner so that the PS can concentrate on the daily and weekly direction of the company's resources and coordination of trade partners.Key Responsibilities:Ensure safety is properly incorporated into job planning and executionPromote accountability among staff members and trade partners as it relates to the project safety policiesEnforce these policies by actively participating in all safety-related functionsManage pre-job planning activities and coordinate the mobilization effort and start-up activitiesThis includes personnel planning, the project schedule, procurement of trade partners and vendors, deployment of technology and similar activities as defined in the Book of 14Job purchasing and contracting is the responsibility of the project manager and is performed in collaboration with the Estimating department and project teamThe PM is the primary company representative at the project site and point of contact for the ownerMaintain open communications with all project stakeholders and work to resolve issues in a collaborative and efficient mannerProject costs and schedule progress are carefully monitored by the PMFrequent reviews of job reports are used in the preparation of the monthly margin analysisThe PM must carefully analyze cost and schedule metrics and initiate course corrections, as appropriateSupport the PS in the execution of the project quality control planEnsure a QC plan is set up for the project and that a qualified commissioning team is created to support commissioning effortsEstablish the project quality expectations during the purchasing meeting and then follow up throughout the QC processThe PM is responsible for trade partner management and issue resolutionLook for opportunities to support the project schedule and ensure trade partner successMentor, train and develop salary personnel in all aspects of their careersProvide timely feedback and ensure that employees participate in the performance review process
