Hours : 10-20 hours per week Term :Fall 2026 Salary range: $25-$30/hrforundergradand$40-45/hrforgradstudent, depending on level of experience About the Position Linea is seeking apart-timePolicy Intern inourSan Francisco officeto support state renewable energy policy andRTO regulatory work.The internwill conductdeep dives onpolicy and market design issues,participateinindustry groupand stakeholder calls, and support data analysis. Candidates should be currently enrolledjunior/seniorundergraduate or graduate students, with a strong interest in energy policy and electricity markets. This is a paid, part-time internship of 10-20 hours per week, based in San Francisco with an expectation of approximately one day per week in the office Responsibilities Track and summarize state renewable energy policy developments, including legislation, public utility commission proceedings, incentive and procurement programs, and permitting and siting rules Create briefings on individual markets, including utility planning materials, load growth, and local policy Conduct deep dives on RTO and ISO regulatory issues, including interconnection reform, capacity and energy market design, transmission planning, and resource adequacy Participate in industry group, trade association, and stakeholder working group calls, synthesizing key insights for the commercial and development teams Support quantitative analysis of market and policy data, including interconnection queue analysis and pricing trends Qualifications Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in public policy, economics, environmental science, or a related field Demonstrated interest in energy policy, electricity regulation, or clean energy markets through coursework, prior internships, research, or independent work Strong writing and synthesis skills, with the ability to distill dense regulatory material into clear, concise summaries Comfortability with data analysis is a plus Ability to work in-person in our San Francisco office approximately one day per week Linea Energy is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOC) and does not discriminate on the basis of actual or perceived race, creed, color, religion, alienage or national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, disability or handicap, sex, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, arrest record, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state or local laws.
