We seek a dynamic educator and researcher who will contribute to the department’s growing emphasis on cutting-edge AI technologies in healthcare, including the newly launched AI in Healthcare track in the MS in Health Informatics program.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Teach graduate-level courses in Health Informatics, with a focus on AI, LLMs, and Deep Learning.Develop and maintain an active research agenda in generative AI applications in healthcare.Mentor graduate students and supervise doctoral research projects.Collaborate with faculty across disciplines to advance interdisciplinary research.Contribute to curriculum development, particularly in the AI in Healthcare track.Participate in Departmental, School, and University service.Participate in Annual Performance Evaluations and Workload Distribution discussions for the program.Perform other related duties as assigned and as permitted by workload requirements.Abide by: Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest PolicyPosition StatusFull TimePosting Number25FA1083Posting Open DatePosting Close Date Qualifications Minimum Education and ExperiencePhD in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related fieldExceptional candidates with an MS in Computer Science and demonstrated expertise in generative AI will also be considered.Certifications/LicensesRequired Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesPreferred Qualifications Experience applying AI techniques to healthcare or biomedical domains. Prior teaching experience at the graduate level. Industry experience or collaborations in AI-driven healthcare solutions.
