Our Iowa City manufacturing site is a high-volume, highly automated facility producing iconic brands such as Head & Shoulders, Pantene, and Scope. We are seeking a Project Manager to lead capital projects that support innovation, automation, reliability, compliance, and operational improvement across the site.This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who is ready to build technical and leadership capability in a dynamic manufacturing environment. In this role, you will lead projects from concept through execution, startup, and handoff, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver strong business results. Depending on business need, this role may support either our Making Process organization or our Packing team.As a Project Manager, you will lead capital programs typically ranging from $200,000 to $2,000,000 in scope. Project types may include:New product initiativesCapacity expansionCost savings and productivity improvementsKey responsibilities include:Leading capital projects from initial scope development through design, execution, startup, and handoffManaging project scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables to ensure successful executionPartnering with operations, engineering, maintenance, quality, purchasing, finance, and other functions to deliver project objectivesSupporting capital management, including cost tracking, forecasting, and change controlIdentifying and managing project risks, issues, and mitigation plansCommunicating project status, priorities, and needs clearly to stakeholdersCoordinating and managing work with vendors, contractors, and equipment suppliersMaintaining required CPS tracking, project documentation, and reportingEnsuring projects meet safety, quality, compliance, and operational requirementsSupporting equipment startup, commissioning, and transition to operationsRequired qualifications include:Bachelor's degree in EngineeringStrong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentWillingness to work cross-functionally with operations, technical teams, and external partnersPreferred qualifications include:Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in manufacturing, engineering, or project-based workExperience with automation, process systems, packaging equipment, or manufacturing technologyInterest in capital project execution and technical leadershipExperience working in team-based environmentsWe are looking for engineers who are energized by solving real-world problems and leading work that makes a direct impact on manufacturing performance.
