An established critical illness recovery hospital specializing in inpatient post-ICU care is seeking a Director of Pharmacy (DOP) to lead its pharmacy operations at the Alle Kiski location. This full-time leadership position offers the opportunity to manage clinical, operational, administrative, staffing, and financial aspects of pharmacy services delivered to chronic, critically ill patients requiring extended recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all pharmacy functions, ensuring accurate preparation and dispensing of medications.
• Ensure full compliance with The Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory standards.
• Oversee the Adverse Drug Reaction Program and participate in related quality assurance initiatives.
• Develop and implement training and education programs for new pharmacy staff.
• Monitor patient drug therapy and participate in clinical programs, developing at least one innovative clinical service annually such as Pharmacokinetic Dosing, Patient Counseling, Pain Management, or Nutritional Support Services.
• Promote continuous quality improvement and foster a patient-centered care environment.
• Collaborate closely with hospital leadership and clinical teams, reporting directly to the CEO.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families as needed.

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of all educational requirements for state licensure.
• Minimum of three years’ hospital pharmacy experience within the past five years.
• Current pharmacy license in the state of practice.
• BLS certification if required by state regulations.
• Preferred: PharmD or BS Pharm with an advanced degree or hospital pharmacy residency.
• One year of managerial pharmacy experience preferred.
• Board Certification and/or Residency completion highly desirable.

Location: Alle Kiski, PA (inside the Allegheny Valley facility)
