About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. The CFO will be a strategic partner, responsible for the organization's financial strategy, performance, and all financial operations. This includes budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with an active CPA preferred, and at least 10 years' of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior finance role within a nonprofit organization. Deep technical expertise in GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles, as well as a proven track record in financial management for a multi-million-dollar budget, is essential. Key responsibilities for the CFO at the company include leading the financial planning and operations, overseeing grant and restricted fund accounting, and maintaining strong governance and board relations. The role also involves risk management, external relations, and team leadership. The successful candidate will be an exceptional communicator, capable of translating complex financial information into strategic guidance, and will have a strong background in building and leading finance teams. Experience in veteran services, social services, or related nonprofit sectors is preferred, and alignment with the company's mission and values is a must. The CFO will play a critical role in driving financial decision-making and supporting the long-term sustainability of the organization.
