Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

Manufacturer in Anderson, IN is seeking a Sit-Down Forklift Operator for their Supply Chain department. Orientation includes PIT computer testing, forklift training, and other onboarding activities.

Shift + Pay

• 1st shift: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM (2-2-3 schedule)
• Starting pay is $20hr, but raised to $24hr if hired on.

Responsibilities

• Palletize orders for the distribution center.
• Operate sit-down forklift to move materials from machine lines to staging areas for the distribution center.
• Move and stage both empty and full pallets of materials.
• Wrap tops of pallets before sending them to the wrapping machine.

Essential Skills

• Experience operating a sit-down forklift.
• Ability to comply with PPE requirements in a GMP facility.
• Self-motivated and able to stay on task.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with RF scanners.
• Experience picking orders in a warehouse environment.
• Experience with electric pallet jacks.

Work Environment

This role is based in a food manufacturing facility, requiring adherence to strict PPE requirements. Employees must wear company-issued uniforms or lab coats that are fully secured, and steel-toed shoes. The dress code includes jeans and steel or composite-toed shoes. Personal protective equipment must be worn, including hair nets, beard nets for facial hair over 24 hours, gloves over nail polish, and removal of jewelry or watches unless approved for medical or religious reasons. Personal cell phones are restricted to emergency use only, and food or beverages are not allowed in production areas except water in approved containers.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anderson, IN.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Anderson,IN.
