Outpatient Physical Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shift: 5x8.0

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction. This role involves the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that enable effective return to community activities. The therapist serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves while performing other professional duties associated with patient care and the development of therapy services.

Responsibilities:

• Completes comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and utilizes clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Documents in medical records accurately, addressing all necessary components in compliance with guidelines.
• Works under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals for patient care.
• Participates in the student program, providing a positive learning environment with appropriate supervision.
• Creates an individualized professional development plan and pursues continuing education.
• Adheres to state practice acts and maintains licensure in good standing.
• Engages in organizational performance improvement initiatives and follows up on action plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school (required).
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience (required).
• CPR Certification (required).
• Active and applicable state licensure (required).
• Experience in orthopedics (required).
