Job Description

Required Skills

Hands-on experience with IBM z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition and API development.
Strong understanding of REST APIs, methods, JSON payloads, and OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
Experience integrating APIs with CICS, COBOL, Db2, and IMS applications.
Ability to understand COBOL copybooks and mainframe data structures for JSON mapping.
Knowledge of z/OS concepts including RACF/SAF security, regions, SMF, and WLM.
Experience with API testing and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy REST APIs using z/OS Connect.
Configure API mappings between mainframe applications and JSON services.
Support CICS-based API integrations and troubleshoot issues.
Collaborate with development and architecture teams on mainframe modernization initiatives.
